A Long Time

I know, I have been very neglectful about updating lately. It seems as though time just slips away from me. Shealin has miplaced my camera cord and I had to find a new one. So here a few pictures from the last couple of days. Lilly babysat for Shea and put her hair up. She also tired Lilly out. Hmmmm, maybe now people will believe me when I say Shealin is busy, busy, busy!

Happy Anniversay Susan and Mark. I hope you had a great day! Thanks for being there to answer all of my questions and just for being such great friends. Next time we are out west we need to get together.

Surgery Update

I remember once watching a show on the Discovery Network. I don't remember which one, but in the show the baby needed surgery and the dad went into the operating room with her until she fell asleep. I remember thinking I could never do that. How one little person changes you is so amazing, and while it was hard watching her fight the anesthesia (the mask), I felt I needed to be there for her and let her know it was ok. The surgery only took about an hour and all went well. She was pretty out of it most of today, but seemed more like herself tonight. Her eyes were a little swollen and red in the corners. I think she is already seeing better. She seems to be paying more attention to things that are farther away, like she is just realizing they are there. She has a post-op visit on Tuesday. Wish me luck, as I now have to put drops in her eyes 4xs a day. Yeah, right lol.

Halloween Ideas?

Ok, I know it is a little early but I have been looking for a costume for Shea. I found a really cute penguin costume. However, I also found a really cute cow too. So please chime in and help me decide. We are working on saying Trick or Treat so that we will be ready for our big candy day!

Shealin, just loves glasses. Loves to see them on people, on TV or even in the newspaper. Usually she will wear hers on her waist, but tonight she actually wore them. I just love those two pictures.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday Charlotte! We need new pictures of you. Tell your mommy to get on that for me. Shea and I hope all of your Birthday dreams come true. We love you and miss you.

Surgery Date

Well Shea's surgery has been scheduled for September 14th. I ask anyone that follows our blog to think of us on this day. I am not sure who it will be roughest on. I am confident that all will go well, and yet at the same time I am petrified. I finally know how my mom felt in these situations.

Shea is so happy to be home. She had a good time, but is definitely a home girl. She loves her routine and is not fond of changes. I am happy to be home, but I so miss the Burningham and Roginske families. I am so glad we will be seeing each other again next year, even though that is such a long time. The girls were so cute together and I look forward to them being a part of our lives forever.

Rest and Relaxation

Today we are resting and relaxing, so no pictures sorry. We are all tired out from the long car ride yesterday. I have lots of pictures to go thru and will post them after we get home. This has been such a great trip, I am so happy that we came. We have deciced to meet next year in Disney. We would plan to try and meet somewhere every year.

What a Difference A Year Makes

The following pictures are of the girls. The first pictures are from last year and the rest are from this year. The first picture is Shealin, Maya and Jade from last year. The next 2 are of Shea, Maya and Jade this year and the last one includes Grace.

Onward to the Roginske Residence

We were up and out early for a dip in the Boiling River. Yes, it is hot! Well half is hot and the other very cold, so it mixes and is so warm. Off to a a waterfall near Artist Point. Then off to Montana thru the Beartooth Mountains, and what a ride it was. Enjoy the pictures.

Our Day at Yellowstone

We met up with Maya's family at the Old Faithful Inn. It was so great to see them. We enjoyed a nice picnic and talked about the girls and checked out Old Faithful. The group went on a walk around the geysers. I opted to stay behind and enjoy the view from a bench. I just can not describe how beautiful it is here. The kids wanted to go swimming in the Firehole, which is pretty cool. Shealin did not even want her toes wet. After swimming we headed off for our next hotel. Shea did not enjoy the ride, even though we got to see a buffalo up close and personal.

Yesterday was spent driving to Yellowstone. The trip was not fun, as Shealin hates long car rides. Kyle, Landon and Debbie were so helpful at keeping her occupied. The scenery is beautiful here. Enjoy the pictures.

We Made It1

We made it to Utah. It has been so awesome to be with the Burningham family. They are such great people. Shealin is loving having other kids to play with, and fight with. She was such a good traveler. She did not sleep until our second plane took off from Minneapolis. She was not in her seat for 5 minutes and she was out like a light. When we landed in Utah, she looked out the window and pointed and said "Titis". I told her that her "titis" were at home and she would see them soon. Not sure if she understood that, but she moved on. I will post pictures later, as she is at the water park right now and Lea has the camera. I am fighting a migraine and decided to stay out of the sun. Tomorrow we leave for Montana! Yay! Maya, here we come.

Tomorrow we are leaving for Salt Lake City. We are going to see Jade and her family and then off to Yellowstone. I will be posting whenever I can so you can all be a part of our trip.

Mostly Packed and Ready to Go!

Well after sweetie pie drifted off to dreamland I finally started to pack. It is so hard packing for two. I don't want to overpack, yet I want to make sure I don't forget anything I need for her either. Yes, we will be taking the laptop, so we can keep our friends and family updated on our adventures. Shea got a new pair of hiking shoes for Yellowstone. I wonder if she will keep them on. Lol, my girl hates shoes! And, she has so many cute pairs. I have a few pictures of Shea from the weekend and I will post them tomorrow. I need to get my beauty sleep. I have not been to work in a week, due to my surgery.
