We had such a great day today. Lea treated us to Sesame Street Live. I have to admit that I did not think Shea would sit through it, but she loved it. She was dancing and singing (her own words of course) the whole time. After the show Lea treated her to a few souvenirs (almost the whole stand). Thanks for such a great day Lea!
Shealin loves her Easter basket. She has been carrying it everywhere we go. If we leave the house and I ask her what she wants to bring in the car, you guessed it she brings her basket. Tonight she even fell asleep holding her basket! I guess she really can't wait for the bunny to come and fill it.
Shealin just loves everyone. She really does. I don't think I have met anyone yet that she doesn't like. A great big THANK YOU! to Jodi for babysitting today. I needed to take care of some Easter Bunny business. Shealin had a great time playing with Jodi. I was even able to go food shopping without having to bring juice and snacks along. I don't remember the last time I did that. Shealin had some wild hair tonight enjoy the video and the pictures.
Mother Nature must have decided to intervene. We had a ice/snow storm on Friday and the roads were not pretty! Sooooooooo, Lea decided to spend the night here while I ventured out to the wedding. Thank You Lea! I did not get home until the wee hours of the morning and Lea got up with Shealin so I could sleep in. Now we have to plan a new weekend getaway for Shealin and Lea.
My sweet girl is going away for the weekend. I am wondering how I will survive it without her. This house will seem so empty. I have no doubt that she will be having a great time with her godmother. I suppose I could do some much needed housework, or sleep in everyday. When was the last time I did that? I know it will be tougher on me and she is only a phone call away. My how fast your life can change.
What's cute in purple, and has pigtails that are slightly askew? Why little Miss Shealin, in her new spring daycare photo. I will post it tomorrow as I need to scan it in to the computer first. Her class photo is pretty funny as she is not a happy camper in it.
On Monday, we had our first post placement visit with our wonderful social worker Meryl. We love her! Shealin's godmother came along to help keep my little busy bee, busy so I answer all of the required questions. We had a great visit and look forward to the next. We love company. Shealin loves to play with everyone who comes for a visit. I love this picture of Shealin and her godmommy!
Shealin was full of smiles and words today. Many of the words 0f course are only known to her, but they are so fun to listen to as she squeals with delight over what she just said. She even yelled at her beloved Pat Sajak tonight, I am not sure what he did to bring down her wrath. She is forever making her Zio and mommy laugh with her antics. Its so much fun to have a little one in the house. Susan, you asked for more pictures and here they are. The first one is her first smile of the day and the last one she was saying "cheeeeeeeeese" for the camera. And for those who are wondering I did make it to work without a boat today, though one would have been handy.
