More Disney

As you can see from the photos Shealin has a thing for glasses. She loves to go up to people that have them and lift her arms up to them and when they ask if they can pick her up she swoops in for the kill. She gets them everytime. The one big pair is the 3D glasses she wore for Mickey's Philharmagic. While she did not wear them all the time she actually was reaching for the screen. She has been a bit cranky, I did notice a molar cut thru finally. Poor baby has been a trooper, we closed down 2 parks with the Lugos 2 days in a row. Enjoy the pictures.

We Met Mickey!

Well it finally happened. I feel like I have waited a lifetime to finally see my daughter meet the big M. I so love Disney World and hope that Shealin will love it as much as I do. Today started out with breakfast at Perkins and than off to the Magic Kingdom. Shealin received a pin telling everyone that it was her first visit. I also picked up her first Mickey Ears. We had some issues in the beginning, as I am sure she is so overwhelmed. She only wanted me to carry her this morning and since it was over 85, I am sure you all know how thrilled I was about that. John helped me out a lot today and so did Jessie. We finally figured out after the great meltdown that she does not like the tray on this stroller, so we fixed that and the rest of the day went smoothly. She even sat with me for dinner, although mostly on my lap. She loves oranges and so does Nate. Tomorrow is his first birthday and we are going to a character breakfast to celebrate. Shealin finished her big day by meeting Mickey, she walked up to him and touched his nose and Mickey sat down and she sat next to him. She did not cry, but was a little anxious. Enjoy the pictures!

The End of a Very Long Day

We made it, we are really here! Shealin does not seem to like her carseat anymore, I wonder why? No, really she was really good, she only cried a few times, ok wailed, but who wouldn't after being in a tiny little seat for days. We hung out by the pool, which of course she was afraid of and went down to the marketplace tonight. She was fascinated with the lights in the sky and went on the carousel with Jessie, Jerome and Nate. I hope the ride was not a preview of whats to come as she got bored halfway through. I think Small World will captivate her, (if not at least she gets in for free).

On the Road Again

Today was day 2 of our road trip. Yeah, I know we should be there, but with two little ones in the car we decided to take it slow. On day 1 Shealin was great, she really impressed me. Today, well lets just say was very different than day 1. We had a major tantrum over a cell phone. She thinks she can just have it and play with it. Wonder where she got that idea? Lea, you wouldn't have any clue, would you? So here I sit while my angel finally sleeps. We are about four more hours from our destination, look out Mickey here we come! Forgot to mention, we ran into a sandstorm today, it was awful, Shea had sand all in her hair and even her diaper! Jessie, just kept asking "Whats happening, Whats happening?" Well we are packed and ready to go. Ok, I think I am. I am sure that I forgot something. It used to be so easy to just throw my stuff in a bag and go, now I actually had to plan what to take. We will arrive in the land of Mickey on Monday.

I bought Shea some new sunglasses for our trip. I didn't think she would wear them, but as you can see she is ready to go! We leave next Saturday!
