A Conversation with Shealin on Christmas Eve

It was very late on Christmas Eve and Shealin should have been asleep hours already. So when we finally arrived home at 1 am, I said to her "Shea, we need to put out cookies for Santa" Shealin firmly shakes her head no. "You don't want to leave cookies for Santa?" Again a firm no. I decide on a new tactic, "OK, but we need to put up your stocking for Santa" Shealin again gives me a NO. "Alright, I will just put it here on the chair just in case." Off we go to bed. In the morning, I ask her if she thinks Santa came. I get that no again. We come out to the living room and clearly he has been here. Shealin, sits in her chair and refuses to look at the tree, presents etc. I ask if she is sure Santa did not come. She keeps shaking her head no. Finally I point to her new toy kitchen and ask well "Whats this?" It was a whole new ballgame after that. She did get tired of opening presents though. Guess we still didn't cut down enough here.
